No Minimums, Nothing Upfront: Custom Merch Without the Risk
Most custom gear means a bulk order you pay for up front. Here is why a custom merch store has no minimums, no upfront cost, and no leftover stock.
Most custom gear comes with a catch: you order a big batch up front and hope it sells. Athlete Merch does not work that way. There are no order minimums, no upfront cost, and nothing to pay to start. Here is why that matters for a high school athlete and their family.
The old way: bulk orders and risk
Traditional custom apparel usually means buying in bulk. You pick a design, commit to dozens of units, pay for all of them, and then try to sell them. If they do not move, that money is gone. For a high school athlete, that is a real risk most families do not want to take.
How Athlete Merch is different
Your store carries your gear, but nothing is printed until someone actually buys it. Each item is made to order. That means:
- No minimum order. One hoodie is fine.
- No upfront cost. You are not paying for inventory.
- No leftover stock. You never get stuck with boxes of unsold shirts.
What "free" actually covers
Setting up the store is free. The custom designs are free too, made for you by the Athlete Merch team. There is no fee to list your products and no subscription to keep the store open. It runs year round.
What buyers pay
Family, friends, teammates, and fans pay for the items they order, the same as at any online store. Checkout runs on Shopify, and orders arrive in about 10 days, shipped within the US, with international coming soon.
Common questions
Is there really no minimum? Correct. Items are made one at a time as they are ordered.
Do I pay anything to start? No. Setup and designs are free.
What if nothing sells? Then you have spent nothing. There is no inventory to lose.
